About this Opportunity
Through diverse artistic languages and forms of expression, the exhibition opens a multidimensional dialogue, inviting visitors to experience the intimacy and inclusivity of home while reflecting on the continuity and renewal of culture and emotion in everyday life. Temporary living spaces, including areas such as the living room, dining room, and bedroom, are created using commonly used moving materials like cardboard boxes, tape, and old fabrics, evoking a transient and transitional sense of
Home.
Featuring primarily craft and decorative art pieces, the exhibition explores how objects carry emotions and memories. The artworks, displayed within these temporary settings, serve as visual focal points where emotion and functionality intertwine. The exhibition aims to evoke an emotional resonance in visitors with the theme of the Temporary Dwelling.
Requirements
- *All artworks related to the theme are welcome, including but not limited to works in metal, ceramics, textiles, woodworking, glass, and paper art.
- *The pieces should evoke emotional memories of "Home" for the audience, whether those feelings are warm and secure or fleeting and unstable. Submissions can include artistic interpretations of everyday objects or abstract expressions of domestic life through the language of art.
- *All submitted works must be original creations by the artist, ensuring authenticity and the integrity of the exhibition.
Benefits
- The jury will select one artist with the greatest potential, who will be awarded a free exhibition space at the 2025 London Design Festival. The winner will be informed after the exhibition.
